About the Event
We invite you to sign up for the Light it Forward CHALLENGE for the Climate Change Week and build your own Pavilion Solar Light.
In collaboration with EXPO LIVE and Illac Diaz for Liter of Light we will deliver to each Pavilion that wants to join a specially prepared Solar Light self-building kit,
that any representative can make by following the simple guidelines that is provided with it.
Once assembled we need you to mark it with your Pavilion stamp, then we will collect it and store it until the event.
The created lights will lit the opening of the Premiere for the Movie "Theory of Light" on 27th March at 7 PM at the Opportunity Forum - Opportunity Pavilion
“Theory of Light” puts a spotlight on the need for more urgent and united action to protect our people and future generations from the adverse effects of climate change. Part historical chronicle, part environmental lesson, the documentary shows how Liter of Light is reinvigorating efforts to take action and inspiring new generations of innovators from the Global South to come up with ideas that will change the world. The documentary advances bold storytelling that centers the climate emergency through a climate justice lens. With a commitment to uplift perspectives of black, brown and indigenous communities whose lives are already being impacted by climate change, it gives a voice to those who feel excluded for the climate movement and whose voices have not been represented in traditional climate storytelling.
