The Rotaract Club of Dubai officially opened its 2026–2027 year with its Presidential Handover, bringing together Rotaractors, Rotarians, friends and guests to celebrate the club’s journey and welcome its next chapter.

As one of Dubai’s most diverse, oldest and internationally connected Rotaract communities, the Club is continuing to position itself as a leading, cosmopolitan and ambitious group of Rotaractors, reflecting the international character, energy and spirit of service that defines Dubai. Following the transition to President Lawanga Sangakkara and the incoming Board, the Club has started the year with strong momentum. With Board appointments completed and six events and initiatives already delivered for the Rotary Year, the focus has been clear from the beginning: Serve. Connect. Lead.

Building on Rotaract Dubai’s 18-year legacy, 2026–2027 is focused on deeper member engagement, stronger collaboration across the Rotary family in the UAE, and delivering ambitious projects with measurable and lasting impact. With a complete calendar of events and programs already planned for the year, several joint initiatives are also being developed with the Rotary Club of Dubai and the Interact Club of Dubai, creating more opportunities for Rotary, Rotaract and Interact to work together, exchange experience and maximize their collective impact.

The Board also extends its sincere appreciation to President Faisal Al Sayegh and the Board of the Rotary Club of Dubai for their continued guidance, mentorship and support. Their encouragement remains an important part of Rotaract Dubai’s growth and its connection with the wider Rotary family.

The ambition also extends well beyond the UAE. Through international partnerships with Rotary and Rotaract Clubs across the world, Rotaract Dubai aims to further expand the reach of its flagship and legacy initiatives. Projects such as End The Litter Trail (ETLT), in partnership with the Rotary Club of Dubai, are being positioned for even greater global participation, with the ambition of engaging communities across 50+ countries and five continents, while continuing to remove tonnes of plastic and litter through coordinated environmental action.

For the Board of Rotaract Dubai, the direction for the year is simple: build on the work of those who came before, bring more purpose-driven people into the Rotary family, strengthen international connections and ensure that every initiative delivers maximum impact.

With a new Board, an increasingly engaged membership and an ambitious program already underway, Rotaract Dubai has entered 2026–2027 with strong momentum ready to Serve, Connect and Lead, with plenty more to come.
