On the 21st of March, Rotary Club of Dubai had the pleasure to have their Fellowship meeting at the Denmark Pavilion at EXPO2020. The speaker of the night was Jennifer Sault, the Founder and Chief Cheerleader of Thrift for Good, who spoke about the Sustainable Fashion Community.
Thrift for good support www.gulf4good.org, who help children around the world through health, education and housing. The initiative is approved by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, license number 4686. We are committed to zero waste: we rehome everything (including repairing/recycling items), we offset our carbon emissions through TreeNation, and we use sustainable packaging. When we need to purchase something, we buy it second hand.
Overall, there was a great turn out with 50 Rotarians, Rotaractors and Guests! Additionally, a Visiting Rotarian from Rotary Club of Singapore attended the meeting and a flag exchange took part. The attendees enjoyed the presentation from the speaker and then helped themselves to dinner.
