ROTARY EXPO BREAKFAST (Armenian Cuisine)

Rotary Majlis of Friendship is now hosting weekly breakfasts at Expo2020 Rotary Venue. Join us for a great experience every Saturday at 10:30 AM to explore different types of cuisines and meet up with Fellow Rotarians & Rotaractors.

On the 19th of March, we hosted our Armenian cuisine breakfast and were so honored to host 45 Rotarians, Rotaractors and guests! This breakfast was sponsored by Nicholas Paillart, and included many Armenian delicacies.

The Armenian breakfast was comprised of many types of Dolma (stuffed vine leaves), Manti (puff pastry with minced meat), Olives, Armenian cheese, and Basturma (sausage).

Rtn.Nicholas Paillart eighlighted us about "Sewing Hope Armenia". It is a social enterprise to help women who had lost their husbands, or who’s husbands had been incapacitated through the war. By providing 10 sewing machines set up in a dedicated centre, offered honourable and dignified employment to 14 women, offering them the possibility to be ambassadors of their cultural heritage and artisanship by making bags and accessories from colourful traditional weaves.

Check out their Instagram page to see all the beautiful handmade bags:

Stay tuned to find out about next week’s cuisine and join us for an unforgettable breakfast here at Rotary Majlis of Friendship!
